Thomas and Melanie Piper

Thomas and Melanie Piper of Green Cove Springs, Fla., formerly of Slippery Rock, celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Saxonburg VFW.

Piper married the former Melanie Wilson on June 15, 1963, at Unionville Presbyterian Church.

They have three children, Sheri Pollock of Slippery Rock, Tina Francis of Williston, Fla., and Debra Reedy of Saxonburg.

They also have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Piper retired from Armco Steel.

Mrs. Piper is a retired domestic engineer.

The Pipers are members of Morriston Baptist Church in Morriston, Fla., where Mr. Piper is also a deacon.
