Joan and Glen Bachman

Glen and Joan Bachman of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Bachman married the former Joan Gold on Aug. 16, 1953, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Butler.

They have two children, Matthew Bachman and Timothy Bachman, both of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren.

Bachman served in the U.S. Army and retired from United Telephone.

Mrs. Bachman worked at Mellon Bank and Friendship Gift Shop. She is a homemaker.

The Bachmans are members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Bachman remains an active member who is involved in several committees.

The couple enjoys reading, gardening and spending time at home and at their cabin.

They also enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
