Patty and Bill Walters

Bill and Patty Walters of Butler recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Walters married the former Patty Potyka on Oct. 23, 1948, at the North Street Christian Church.

They have two children, Connie Steinberg of North Canton, Ohio, and Bill Walters of Butler. Their daughter, Nanci Lang, is deceased. They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Walters is an Army veteran. He retired in 1973 from the Butler City Fire Department, where he was assistant chief. He also retired in 1992 from the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he was fire chief and safety specialist.

Mrs. Walters is a homemaker and enjoys cooking and baking.

The Walterses are members of Saint Andrews UnPresbyterian Church in Butler.
