Gerald B. Coe, 80, of Butler died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 28, 1924, in Praise, Ky., he was the son of Benjamin and Ava Bordean Coe.

He was a World War II Army veteran and retired as a salesman for Huck Manufacturing in Waco, Texas, after 37 years.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne Papay Coe, whom he married Nov. 25, 1964; a daughter, Mrs. Barry (Laura) O'Rorke of Butler; a son, Robert Coe of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a half brother.

Services and burial were private.
