Irving J. Barnett
Irving J. Barnett, 65, of Penn Hills, formerly of Cranberry Township, died Saturday morning in the emergency room at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.
Born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 5, 1939, he was the son of the late Willard and Edna Parks Barnett.
He retired as an electrician for Oberg Industries in Sarver.
Mr. Barnett was a member of the Trinity Tower United Methodist Church of Penn Hills and a former member of the Dutilh United Methodist Church of Cranberry Township.
He was as avid bowler and golfer and belonged to the American Bowling Congress and the U.S. Golf Association. He also belonged to the S.M.P.J. Social Club. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie F. Brozovich Barnett, whom he married on July 26, 1991; a daughter, Jennifer Dietrich and her husband, Michael, of Penn Township; two sons, Albert G. Barnett and his wife, Melissa, of Maryland, and James I. Barnett and his wife, Leslie, of Saxonburg; a stepdaughter, Karen McClelland and her husband, Charles, of Penn Hills; a stepson, Robert Brozovich and his wife, Linda, of Penn Hills; and a sister, Barbara Marshall of Callery. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
His first wife, Joan Gruber Barnett, whom he married Sept. 5, 1959, died Dec. 16, 1986.
BARNETT - Friends of Irving J. Barnett, who died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev.
