Super shrimp rub
1 tablespoon black peppercorns1 teaspoon brown sugar1 tablespoon kosher salt½ teaspoon ground ginger½ teaspoon ground cinnamon1 teaspoon anise seeds, crushed¼ teaspoon ground clovesZest of 2 lemonsIn a small bowl, stir together the spices.
