CRANBERRY TWP — The township supervisors made it official Thursday evening by approving three commercial and residential developments for a shopping plaza, a mixed residential development and bank.

They approved Cranberry Crossroads West, a 12,000-plus square foot plaza, that is designed for multiple tenants. It is next to its sister development that includes the Dick’s Sporting Goods and La-Z-Boy Furniture off Route 228.

The first announced business for the plaza is Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.

Approval will come later on the proposed 5,500-square-foot stand-alone restaurant building.

The supervisors also approved the first phase of The Links of Cranberry, a residential development that includes 21 single family homes and 20 townhomes at the intersection of Glen Eden and Freshcorn roads.

That is being developed in conjunction with the Cranberry Vista Apartments that will be across the street.

The developments will include a mix of residential designs, along with parklet areas. A roundabout also is to be built at the intersection of Freshcorn, Glen Eden and Powell roads as a result of this development.

The Cranberry Vista, which includes 240 apartments, could be before the supervisors for their review next month.

The third phase would include 42 residential units with 16 single family homes and 26 townhomes as part of the The Links of Cranberry.

Final development plans for a 7,400 square-foot Farmers National Bank to be built at the intersection of Route 19 and Ogle View Road also were approved Thursday.

It is being built on 1.85 acres on the current site of a veterinarian office. That building will be razed.
