CRANBERRY TWP — The township supervisors Tuesday night approved several projects including a new warehouse building and the final phase for a housing development that was started in the mid-1990s.

Final land development approved was given to the Commons at RIDC North, the second of two multi-tenant buildings developed by the Pittsburgh-based Elmhurst Group. The building will mirror a recently constructed 48,400 square foot building in RIDC Thorn Hill Industrial Park along Commonwealth.

The twin flex office/warehouse buildings will share the 3.75 acre site.

The final construction phase of the Ehrman Farms residential development was approved for 22 single family homes on 16.7 acres off Ehrman Road.

GIBSONIA — Telephone books can be recycled at several sites in northern Allegheny and southern Butler counties provide by Consolidated Communications.Recycling is encouraged in Gibsonia at the Consolidated Communications office at 4008 Gibsonia Road. The recycling bin is in the front of the building.Bins also are at the back parking lot of the Cranberry Township Municipal Building at 2525 Rochester Road and at Friedman's Supermarket, 270 W. Water St., Saxonburg.The recycling bins will be available until Aug. 16.

NEW YORK — Girl Scouts of the USA have announced the appointment of Angela Olden as chief financial officer. Olden, who has more than 25 years of financial management experience, will join the organization on Sept. 23.“Angela is immensely talented, bringing a wealth of experience in both the nonprofit and private sectors and an outstanding track record of prudent financial management and strategic planning and execution,” said GSUSA Chief Executive Officer Anna Maria Chávez.
