Paul and Karen Taggart

Paul and Katherine Taggart of Harrisville celebrated 60 years of marriage Sept. 8 with an open house at Grove City Masonic Hall in Grove City. The event was hosted by their daughters.

Taggart married the former Katherine Thompson on Sept. 12, 1947, at Branchton United Methodist Church in Branchton.

They have two children, Kay Castor of Harrisville and Dorothy Thompson of Slippery Rock.

They also have five grandchildren. One grandchild is deceased.

Taggart is retired from Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Company. He also is retired from his job as Mercer Township tax collector.

Mrs. Taggart is a homemaker. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, chapter 86.

The Taggarts are members of Harrisville United Methodist Church and Grove City Masonic Lodge 603.
