9:01 a.m. Wednesday — Two women were injured in a head-on crash on Ekastown Road.The crash occurred as cars driven by Elaine Scheerbaum, 60, and Patricia Campbell, 32, both of Sarver collided in front of Colonial Clinic.Scheerbaum was taken with a leg injury to Butler Memorial Hospital while Campbell was taken with facial injuries to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County. The women's conditions were not known this morning.

Wednesday — A resin planter holding a dwarf Alberta spruce shrub was stolen between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. from the Beechwood Road home of Alphonse Rapa in Center Township.6:20 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Daniel Tressler, 20, of New Castle struck the trailer part of a tractor-trailer at Route 422 and Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Davis Roosevelt, 41, of Neshannock, Lawrence County was driving the tractor-trailer.7:20 a.m. Tuesday — A 16-year-old student, who police did not identify, was arrested for bringing a stun gun to Slippery Rock High School in Slippery Rock Township. The student faces a charge in juvenile court of possession of a weapon on school property.

Wednesday — A stone mortar mixer was stolen between 12:15 and 7 a.m. from a South Center Street Extension construction site in Springfield Township, Mercer County. J.T. Robertson Construction Inc. of Hermitage owns the stolen property.

Oct. 26 — Police responded to a call of a vehicle found by a security company in the brush off May Drive. It is owned by Marion C. Knierim, 88, of 2000 May Dr. Apt. 309, Zelienople, Police said her vehicle had earlier lost its brakes and struck a vehicle by Carol Ann Wagner, 56, of 209 South Division St., Zelienople. The drivers had exchanged insurance information. Knierim was attempting to return to her residence. Her vehicle was towed. No injuries were reported.
