The Home Again program at Catholic Charities of Butler will receive $186,277 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Amber Crowe, director at Catholic Charities, said the funds are received annually for the supportive housing program.
The program helps fund 13 apartments in Butler to assist families who have struggled with homelessness.
[naviga:h3]Route 228 plans to be available[/naviga:h3]
MIDDLESEX TWP —Residents will soon have the chance to view plans for a project to widen Route 228 between the intersection with Route 8 and near Three Degree Road.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials are hosting an open-house format public display at the end of the month, showcasing the plan to widen the section of Route 228 from two lanes to four.
The public officials briefing will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Feb 28 with the public display following from 5:30 to 7 p.m., both at the Middlesex Township Municipal Building.
The project has been in the works for years and is expected to cost an estimated $24.3 million.
