Snow

Dean R. Snow, 76, of Dewey Avenue died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 18, 1930, in Bruin, he was the son of Melvin R. Snow and Lydia M. Painter.

He was a machinist for Spang and Co. for 30 years and retired in 1982. He then worked for Magnetics and retired in 1993.

Mr. Snow was a member and former elder and deacon of the Hill United Presbyterian Church.

He served with the Army in the Korean War and earned Bronze Stars. He was a member of the VFW Parker Post 7073.

He enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States, including Alaska, with his beloved wife. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a muzzle-loading enthusiast.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Norma Jean Eury Snow, whom he married Oct. 12, 1952; four sons and their wives, Melvin R. "Skip" and Linda Snow, Dean R. and Sharon Snow Jr. and William Scott and Sherie Snow, all of Butler, and Jamie L. Snow of Cleveland, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. He also is survived by a half-brother and his wife, Barry and Lynn Sheakley of Rifle, Colo.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Marie, and two brothers.

<B>SNOW</B> — A memorial service for Dean R. Snow, who died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Hill United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Clark Sawyer and the Rev. John Porter officiating.
