In a little country cemetery

Just a few short miles away,

We have a precious loved one,

Our dear son, who passed away.

If all the world were ours to give,

We would give it all and more,

To see your handsome face we loved

Come smiling through our door.

Some may think we are not lonely,

When at times they see us smile,

Little do they know the heartache

That we suffer all the while.

They say time heals all sorrow,

And helps one to forget,

But time so far has proven

How very much we miss you yet.
