10:30 a.m. Wednesday — David Starr, 42, of Butler Township, injured in a bicycle accident on South Washington Street, was later arrested after struggling with police officers trying to assist him.Police were called to the Ford Garage and found Starr, who had moments earlier crashed his bike. Officers said he was staggering and smelled of alcohol. He asked police to take him to the hospital for his injuries.Officers, however, said an ambulance would have to be called. Starr declined and refused to turn over any identification. He became angry and started yelling, police said. He resisted police as officers took him into custody.Starr was taken to the police station and later to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the bike crash. He is charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.10:52 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Bobbie Miller, 20, of Kittanning and a van driven by Amanda Mellish, 18, of East Butler collided at East Jefferson and Kittanning streets.5:52 p.m. Tuesday — Mark Swain, 23, of Butler, wanted on three warrants, was arrested when a tip led police to the defendant walking on Wilson Avenue near State Street.Officers searched Swain and allegedly found him carrying two stamp bags of suspected heroin, five empty stamp bags and a syringe. He was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, as well as the warrants, and placed in the Butler CountyPrison.1:31 a.m. Tuesday — Thomas Parker, 34, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
9:05 p.m. Sunday — Anthony Pachell, 27, of Erie was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 8.
6:30 p.m. May 25 — Brad Keck, 25, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after his car hit a ditch along Route 308 in Cherry Township. He was later charged with DUI and five undisclosed traffic violations.
12:50 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Martha Sellers, 77, of Ford City and a van driven by Fredrick Wood, 25, of Parker collided at Fairgrounds Road and Route 66 in Manor Township, Armstrong County.
2:10 a.m. Sunday — Thomas Robert Turner, 34, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Clintonville and Scrubgrass roads in Findley Township, Mercer County.
