HUNLOCK CREEK — Medics in northeastern Pennsylvania say a man rushing home struck the ambulance carrying his daughter, sending five people to the hospital.

Hunlock Creek Volunteer Ambulance members say the unidentified man crashed nearly head-on into the ambulance Friday night after his 4-year-old daughter suffered a seizure in Luzerne County.

Chief Jerry Price said the girl wasn't hurt in the crash, but her father and a passenger in his car along with the ambulance driver and an emergency medical technician had to be taken to a hospital.

NEW CASTLE — A Western Pennsylvania state constable has been jailed on charges he molested a 4-year-old girl and took nude pictures of her with his cell phone.Dustin Piatt, 30, of Wampum, has been jailed since Friday.Piatt was elected constable in November 2009. The alleged incidents took place between January 2009 and July 2010.
