4:10 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Christine Fondi, no age given, of Pittsburgh and Charlotte Hough, no age given, of Butler collided on Knoch Road at the South Butler Primary School in Jefferson Township. Fondi suffered unknown injuries.2:07 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Steven Clark, 47, of Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, and a car driven by Colin Lischy, 18, of Prospect collided on Route 422 in Franklin Township.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole an American flag from the flagpole in front of the Summit Elementary School in Summit Township. The theft occurred during the Christmas break, between Dec. 22 and Tuesday.

12:21 p.m. Dec. 24 — The owners of LJ's Restaurant at 124 N. Main St. reported a deposit bag containing $809 was taken from an office drawer.

10:48 p.m. Sunday — Margaret Steighner, 56, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash that ended with her van engulfed in fire on Route 68 near Sandy Hollow Road in Madison Township, Clarion County.Police said Steighner lost control of her 2002 Chevrolet Venture and traveled through two driveways and a pair of yards, hitting two trees in one of the yards.The damaged vehicle a short time later got stuck on a guardrail as she tried driving away onto Sandy Hollow Road. Within moments, the van ignited in flames. Police said Steighner, who was not injured, fled the scene but was arrested at her home.
