Forrest L. Bullman

Forrest L. Bullman, 84, of Argyle Street in Hornertown, Petrolia, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at his home of natural causes.

Born in Fairview Township, Feb. 7, 1920, he was a son of Andrew and Alice Morrow Bullman.

He was a member of the Bruin United Methodist Church and the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.

He served with the Army in the Pacific during World War II.

He had been a coal miner, worked for the B&O Railroad and retired in 1982 from Pullman Standard, where he had worked in the punch and shearer department.

Surviving is his wife, Jean Evelyn Hale Bullman, now of Orchard Manor in Grove City. They were married June 7, 1941, in St. Petersburg, Clarion County. Also surviving are a son, Robert Forrest Bullman of Petrolia; three daughters, Mrs. William (Helen J.) DiLoreta of Fairfax, Va., Mrs. William (Joyce A.) Slocum of Slippery Rock and Mrs. Charles (Peggy L.) Miller of Noblesville, Ind.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ernest Bullman of Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington, and Merle Bullman of Great Belt; a sister, Mrs. Eunice Ealy of West Sunbury; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; two brothers, Clarence and Harold Bullman; and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Mahood.

BULLMAN - Friends of Forrest L. Bullman, who died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday atRICHARD D. HILLIS FUNERAL HOME, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Sloan Street Church of God of Prophecy in Rimersburg, officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.Memorial contributions may be made to Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department, 200 Argyle St., Petrolia, PA 16050.
