Chicora man throws orange, knife at woman in Fairview Township
A Chicora man was accused of throwing an orange and a knife at a woman last week in Fairview Township, according to state police.
Ronald E. Harnish II, 52, of Chicora, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment following the altercation April 26 on Fairmont Road.
Documents show Harnish was attempting to leave the residence and go to the bar after drinking all day. Police said a woman would not provide Harnish with his keys to do so, and an altercation ensued.
When officers arrived around 4:48 p.m., the woman said Harnish threw an orange at the her and bruised her leg, then threw a knife at her, documents showed.
Harnish’s preliminary hearing on the matter is scheduled June 18 before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
