William and Charlotte Lauer

William and Charlotte Lauer of Parker celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner March 10 at Runway Restaurant in Penn Township. The event was hosted by the couple's children.

The former Charlotte Thompson married Lauer on March 9, 1957, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Parker.

They have three children, Pat Shively of Butler, Richard Lauer of Parker and Penny Clark of West Freedom.

They also have four grandchildren.

Lauer is retired from Witco Chemical. He enjoys woodworking.

Mrs. Lauer is also retired.

The couple belongs to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
