Shannon Johnson and Kevin Frederick, both of Hookstown, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. April 3 at North Branch Presbyterian Church in Beaver County. The Rev. Paul Becker officiated. A reception was held at Center Stage in Monaca.

The bride is the daughter of Ted and Sandy Johnson of Hookstown. Parents of the bridegroom are Luke and Kathi Frederick of Renfrew.

The maid of honor was Jen Nusser of Aliquippa. The bridesmaid was Heather Radcliffe of Hamburg, N.J. The flower girl was Ashley Nicklas of Renfrew.

The best man was Brian Mathis of Aliquippa. The bride's brother, Tim Johnson of Hookstown, was the usher. Andrew Mathis of Aliquippa was the ring bearer.

The bride graduated in 1999 from South Side High School and in 2003 from Slippery Rock University. She works as a substitute teacher in Beaver County.

The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Knoch High School. He works for Dambach Lumber and Supply Co. in Harmony.

The couple is making their home in Beaver County.
