Flanigan, Cress
Patricia Flanigan and William Cress, both of Butler were united in marriage at 4 p.m. May 1 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Raymond Trance officiated. A reception followed in Coleman Hall at Tanglewood Senior Center in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Patricia Flanigan of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are James Cress of Chicora and Karen Cress of Butler.
The maid of honor was Lori Keffalas of Butler. Bridesmaids were Oleva Slaughenhoupt of Cabot; Rene Colosimo and Shannon Cogley, both of Butler; and Wendy Cress of Chicora. Flower girls were Lexi Keffalas, Lily Cogley and Shea Cogley, all of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Michael Cress of Chicora. Ushers were Michael Dunmyre, Timothy Rabbitt, Christopher McGrady and Steven Flanigan, all of Butler; and Daniel Haid and Donald McCollough, both of Chicora. The ring bearer was Tessa Cress of Chicora.
The bride graduated in 1990 from Butler High School and in 1994 from Indiana (Pa.) University. She works at Oakmont Floral and Design in Oakmont, and as a freelance artist.
The bridegroom graduated in 1987 from Karns City High School, in 1995 from Slippery Rock University and in 1999 from the University of Pittsburgh. He works for the Irene Stacy Mental Health Center and Butler Memorial Hospital.
Following and August honeymoon trip to Sturgis, S.D., the couple will make their home in Butler.
