Wick, Cooper
Shayne Wick and Kent Cooper, both of Slippery Rock, exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. July 10 at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler. The Rev. Oden Warman officiated. A reception followed at the Vagabond Center in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Julia Wick of Mercer. Parents of the bridegroom are Lilburn and Phyllis Cooper of Slippery Rock. The bride was presented for marriage by her parents.
The honor attendant was Dianne Wick of Slippery Rock. Bridesmaids were Connie Zulick and Carla Brandon, both of Pittsburgh, Kristine Smith of Vandergrift and Wendy Cooper of Slippery Rock. The flower girl was Kayla Wick of Slippery Rock.
Serving as best man was Steven Barger of York. Groomsmen were Sean Moran of Cranberry Township, David Hussar of Chicago, Casey Slusser of Slippery Rock and Andrew Balint of Woodbridge, Va. The ring bearer was Brandon Bastin of Saxonburg.
The bride graduated in 1995 from Butler High School and in 1999 from Slippery Rock University.
The bridegroom graduated in 1994 from Slippery Rock High School and in 1998 from Arizona State University. He works for U.S. Investigation Services in Boyers.
Following a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, the couple is living in Slippery Rock.
