Marcie Allen and Timothy Schirmer, both of Pittsburgh were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Dec. 13, 2003, at The Inn at 714 Negley in Shadyside. Officiating was the Rev. Cassandra Sutton. A reception followed at The Inn.

The bride is the daughter of Herb and Bonnie Allen of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Dominic and Linda Mangano of Evans City.

The maid of honor was Ashley Steighner of Butler.

Serving his father as best man was Justin Schirmer of Churchill.

The bride graduated in 1989 from Butler High School. She works for Dr. Tom Brown at Edgewood Dental Associates in Pittsburgh.

The bridegroom graduated in 1983 from St. Thomas High School. He works for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oakland.

After a honeymoon on Marco Island in Florida, the couple is making their home in Churchill.
