Halin, Geibel
Butler residents Kara Halin and Matthew Geibel exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. Aug. 7 at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Michael Maranowski officiated. A reception followed at the Butler Days Inn.
The bride is the daughter of George and Karol Halin of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Joyce Geibel of Butler.
The bride's sister, Lisa Burek of Butler was the matron of honor and her sister, Krista Halin of Butler was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bridegroom's sister Stacy Slater of Thornton, Colo., Nichole Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Brittany Phillips of Butler. The flower girl was Chloe Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio.
Serving his brother as best man was Brian Geibel of Butler. Groomsmen were the bridegroom's brothers Aaron Geibel and Regis Geibel, both of Butler; and Jason Geibel of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Dane Winkler of Butler. The ring bearers were A.J. Geibel and Simon Geibel, both of Butler.
The bride graduated in 2000 from Butler High School and in 2003 from Penn State University. She works at Center Township Elementary School in the Butler School District.
The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from BHS and attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He works for Shuttle America.
Following a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple is living in Meridian.
