EAST BRADY — East Brady Baptist Church, 508 Kellys Way, will hold a benefit spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday to benefit the family of the Rev. Frank Sapp Jr.
Sapp's wife, Bernetta, was recently diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer, which was not covered by the family's health insurance. Sapp serves as a pastor in Buckskin, Ind. His father, the Rev. Frank Sapp Sr., has served churches in Chicora and East Brady.
Contributions to the Sapp family medical fund are also being at the church or can be sent to St. John's Church of Buckskin, 8260 E. 900 St., Buckskin, IN 47647.
ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library will be closed Monday through Sept. 29 for the replacement of sidewalks. The Slippery Rock and Harrisville volunteer fire companies will host a sportsman's night Sept. 29 at the Slippery Rock Fire Hall.Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and cash and gun raffles will begin at 6:30 p.m. Participants must be age 21 or older.
