Ian B. Smith
Ian B. Smith, 44, of 223 Pittsburgh Road died unexpectedly Monday morning at his home.
Born in Butler on April 12, 1962, he was the son of Ian S. and Theresa DeKleva Smith.
Mr. Smith was a magna cum laude graduate of Butler County Community College in 1981.
He was a sales representative, traveling in Western Pennsylvania for the Acosta Co., a grocery company in the Pittsburgh area. Prior to that, he had been employed for 10 years by Friedman's Supermarkets in Butler as an assistant manager.
A member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, he was an avid hunter and member of the NRA and the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club. He also enjoyed video games.
Surviving are his parents of Butler; a sister, Cheryl A. Smith-Johnson, and her husband, Gary Johnson, of Woodbridge, Va.; a niece, Garielle Marie "Bebe" Johnson; aunts and uncles Gerald and Adrith Rhodaberger, Anthony W. DeKleva, Dr. Anne Marte, Dolores and Stephen Ferguson, and Joanne Warner; cousins Gerald A. Rhodaberger, Anthony DeKleva, William DeKleva, Robert, John and Dianna Marte, Donna Boomer, and her daughter, Lara, Cheryl and Michelle Ferguson, George Yock, and Joanne Warner and Dennis Warner.

Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N.
