Janet and Joseph Lohner

Joseph and Janet Lohner of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Hotel Saxonburg in Saxonburg.

Lohner married the former Janet Schenck on Dec. 30, 1942, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have two children, James Lohner of Huttonsville, W.Va., and Marcella Marcussen of Pearisburg, Va. A son, Daniel Lohner, is deceased.

They also have three granddaughters. A grandson is deceased.

Lohner is retired from Armco and belongs to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where he has served on the church council.

His wife is a lifelong member of St. Mark's, where she is active in the women's group.
