Evening of tea, comedy planned
PENN TWP — The wearing of hats is encouraged at "A Mad Hatter's Tea Party" hosted by Sing Hosanna! on May 11 at the Penn Christian Academy building, 199 W. Airport Road.
The evening will begin with a silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Dinner will be ambrosia salad, ham balls, twice-baked potatoes, cheesy green beans, rice and mushroom medley, homemade applesauce, bread and butter, mandarin orange cake and beverages, plus a hand-dipped chocolate treat for mothers.
The show will be "A Pirate Princess," a comedy by James Armstrong including a few songs, featuring an adventurous princess played by Stephanie Kobil and a lonely prince played by Dave Sloboda.
Tickets cost $19 for adults, and $7 for children age 10 and younger. Reservations are required and will be taken through Wednesday. Tickets are available at May's Music Shoppe, 247 E. Jefferson St.
