2:21 a.m. Tuesday — Arthur Day, 37, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Paula Carben, 35, at the couple's Avena Street home. Day is charged with simple assault.

6:10 p.m. Friday — Apickup truck driven by Cortnee Garvin, no age given, of Chicora struck the rear of another pickup driven by Wendell Campbell, no age given, of Petrolia on Route 38 in Oakland Township.Garvin was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. A passenger in her vehicle, Jena Garvin, no age given, of Chicora was flown by medical helicopter with moderate injuries to Children's Hospital Pittsburgh. Both occupants in Garvin's pickup were wearing seat belts. Police cited Garvin for driving too fast for conditions.June 15 — Two tackle boxes filled with about 60 fishing lures were taken from a garage June 14 or 15 in a burglary at the Maser Road home of Dennis McHattie in Franklin Township.
