Annual March for Babies slated for April 28 at BC3
BUTLER TWP — The annual March for Babies will be at 10 a.m. April 28 at Butler County Community College.
Funds raised by the event support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, neonatal intensive care unit family support programs and advocacy efforts for babies.
To promote the walk, the Sommer and Sean Peters family of Butler has been chosen to spotlight the need for programs to help babies.
That is because the Peters family understands what it can mean if a baby is not born healthy. When their son, Braden, was born 6 weeks too soon, no one knew if he would survive.
He weighed just 5 pounds. After 2½ weeks in a neonatal intensive care unit, Braden finally came home. Today, he is 2 years old.
The Peters know the significant role that March of Dimes research played in helping Braden so they are grateful to be the 2012 Butler County Ambassador Family.
They are sharing their story to help the March of Dimes raise awareness and funds to help all babies get a healthy start.

The March for Babies is in 900 communities across the country and involves more than 7 million people each year.
