Nancy Lachimia
Nancy Lachimia, 72, of Slippery Rock died at 11:32 p.m. Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler,
Born in Pittsburgh, June 25, 1938, she was the daughter of Phillip Manus Lawrence and Gertrude Elizabeth Miles.
She married James Frank Lachimia on July 22, 1955.
She was a banquet waitress for most of her working life. She worked for the Four Points Sheraton in Cranberry Township for nearly 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren. She also was active doing volunteer work at Sprucewood Commons.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, shopping, watching sports and taking care of her pet cats and dogs.
Surviving are her husband, James F. Lachimia Sr. of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Rhonda L. and her husband, Steven, Dendis of St. Cloud, Fla., Linda M. Smith of Slippery Rock and Cynthia A. Deitrich of Slippery Rock; two sons, James F. and his wife, Nicol, Lachimia Jr. of Wexford and Nicholas A. Lachimia of Moon Township; and a sister, Violet Robson of Peters Township. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Strang and Janet Skoros; along with a son, Robert Michael Lachimia
<B>LACHIMIA</B> — Memorial services for Nancy Lachimia, who died Friday, March 25, 2011, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 1 until time of service at 3 p.m. Interment will be at Pinewood Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township.
