Deloris F. Stants
Deloris F. Stants, 62, of Sligo passed away Friday evening at Clarion Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Eldorado, Butler County, on May 5, 1949, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Mildred Mae Thompson Hudson.
A Protestant, she was a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society of Sligo. She was an avid follower of the Our Little Nashville country music group.
She is survived by a son, James “Jim” Lonnie Stants and his fiance, Amy Vincent, of Parker; two grandchildren, James Edward Justin (Holly) Stants of West Freedom and Amanda Brooke (Samuel) Dittman of Parker; two stepgrandchildren, Kayla and Garrett Vincent, both of Parker; a niece, Robin Ealy, and a great-nephew, William Mansberger, both of Emlenton; a half-sister, Cecile Nunamaker of St. Petersburg; and a longtime special friend, Doris Fair of Callensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Glenn Stants, who she married May 9, 1970, and who passed away on Jan. 17, 2009; a daughter, Tammy Sue Stants, who died in an accident on Dec. 16, 1981; a sister, Carol Hosey; a brother, Franklin T. Hudson; and a half-sister, Leah Geortz.
<B>STANTS — </B>Friends of Deloris F. Stants, who died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME</B>, 210 S. Wayne St., Parker. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Hughes and the Rev. Dan Myers from the United Methodist Church officiating.
