LACKAWANNOCK TWP, Mercer County — A Volant woman died Friday afternoon when her car rolled over multiple times on Interstate 80.

Jillian L. Rebel, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercer County Coroner Bradley McGonigle III.

State police in Mercer said Rebel lost control of her Chrysler PT Cruiser in the left lane of the highway while driving eastbound near mile marker 10.

Rebel’s car struck the medial strip and rolled about four times. Rebel was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, police said.

The accident occurred at 2:24 p.m.
