Elizabeth J. Hughes
Elizabeth J. Hughes, 82, of Forward Township died Sunday at UPMC Passavant hospital, McCandless Township.
Born May 25, 1922, in Callery, she was the daughter of Ernest T. and Edith Cashdollar Hutchman.
Mrs. Hughes retired as a trimmer at Mine Safety Appliance in 1984. She was a former member of the VFW Post 499 Ladies Auxiliary of Evans City. She enjoyed baking.
Surviving are a daughter and son, Vivian A. Hughes and James D. Hughes III, both of Forward Township; a sister, Nell Cahall and her husband, Kenneth, of Harmony; three grandchildren, Patricia Myers and her husband, Donald, and Jeremy Hughes, all of Forward Township, and Gregory Hughes and his wife, Diane, of West Sunbury; and five great-grandchildren, Megan and Bret Myers and Jeremy Christian Hughes Jr., all of Forward Township, Brandon R. Lambert of Mars and Kelli Jo Davis of Parker.
Her husband, James D. Hughes, died Dec. 8, 1971. A brother, Richard C. Hutchman; a sister, Grace Harter; and a grandson, James R. "Rick" Hughes, also preceded her in death.
HUGHES - Friends of Elizabeth J. Hughes, who died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
