5:35 p.m. Wednesday — Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run crash on Mercer Road near Mountain View Lane.The crash occurred when an unidentified older, light colored Mercury sedan sideswiped a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. The Mercury's front grill was smashed out in the wreck. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

1:30 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Benjamin Cranmer, 22, of Worthington, Armstrong County, struck a utility pole along Protzman Road in Summit Township. Police said Cranmer, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Wednesday — An unknown thief between March 12 and Wednesday stole a welder, a 5-horsepower Briggs &Stratton horizontal shaft engine, two Honda 125cc motorcycle engines and three American Racing wheels from a storage building at the Oak Street home of Stanley Lopinski in Karns City. The stolen property is valued at $500.7:20 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Ariane Chestnut, 22, of Templeton, Armstrong County, rearended another car on Route 356 in Winfield Township. Donald J. Simmons, 46, of Prospect, the other driver, suffered minor injuries. Police said Chestnut was cited for careless driving.Tuesday — An unknown burglar between 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday stole money and undisclosed items after breaking into Harigan's Corner Pizza on Route 308 in Center Township.Tuesday — Stephanie Wright, 21, of Dubois, Clearfield County, was cited for retail theft after allegedly shoplifting items from two stores at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.Sunday — Someone between 11 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday broke into the Chicora Park bathroom and damaged the porcelain toilet as well as the door and lock. Damage was estimated at $100.

2:17 a.m. Saturday — Samuel Breghenti, 26, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 3003 and Bunker Hill Road in North Buffalo Township.Slippery Rock PoliceMarch 10 — A case of retail theft was reported by Slippery Rock Giant Eagle after $100 worth of food was stolen. The case is under investigation.March 17 — Jesse Eli Nettinger, 29, of New Castle was charged with driving under the influence after he was pulled over on South Main Street for driving on the wrong side of the road.
