Carlow University

Carlow University is a co-educational, private, Catholic, masters comprehensive university offering exceptional professional and liberal arts programs.

Listed nationally for affordability and employability, Carlow will provide you with more than just an education. Your experience will guide you in building connections — through alumni, faculty, internships and programs — that will last a lifetime.

Faculty are experts in their fields, committed to teaching and student development, while continuing scholarship in their respective fields. With an 11 to 1 student to faculty ratio, students have the opportunity to work with faculty in a student-centered learning environment, both on campus and around the world through the many study abroad options.

Carlow offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and certificate programs and transferring to Carlow is seamless, with up to 88 credits accepted from other institutions.

Graduate programs include master’s degrees in business, counseling, creative writing, education, fraud and forensics, and nursing, and two professional doctoral programs, the Psy. D. degree in counseling psychology and the D.N.P. degree in nursing.

Students can take volunteerism to a new level, exercise their civic responsibility and increase their understanding of social issues and problems by working on various service-learning projects — a unique feature of a Carlow education.

Outside the classroom environment, students have the opportunity to explore a wide range of internship opportunities available in Pittsburgh’s corporate community, its many health care institutions, nonprofit organizations and an abundance of arts organizations.

Carlow is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA), which provides opportunities for postseason competition and national recognition for athletic and academic achievements.
