Warriors rally to beat Keystone
The Moniteau girls basketball team is fighting the flu bug, but it still has plenty of fight on the court, as well.
Playing with a pulled quad muscle, Natalie DeMatteis had 15 points and six rebounds to lead the Warriors (1-2, 1-0) to a 33-30 come-from-behind victory over Keystone Wednesday in the conference opener for both squads.
Moniteau didn't score in the first quarter and trailed 21-15 through three periods.
"Some of our girls kept getting sick and had to run to the locker room," Moniteau coach Mark Yeager said. "This was a gutsy win."
Kristin Baronetski contributed seven rebounds and Alyssa Deal had four assists.
