Elinor Mary Emerick

Elinor Mary Emerick, 98, of Harmony, formerly of Rochester Township, Beaver County, died Thursday at the Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.

She was a daughter of Benjamin and Ella Schramm Brenner.

She retired in 1984 as a technician at The Medical Center, Beaver. She began her career in 1956 with the former New Brighton Hospital.

Mrs. Emerick was a member of St. John Burry's Church of New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, and was a member of the Faith Circle and Adult Bible class. She was a former member and Sunday school teacher at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester.

She enjoyed traveling on bus trips, crocheting afghans and reading the Bible.

Surviving are five sons, Albert D. Emerick of Lititz, David E. Emerick of Cranberry Township, Donald M. Niedergall of Rochester, Robert E. Niedergall of Sebring, Fla., and Marvin K. Niedergall of Rochester; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Miriam Cable of Harmony, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Emerick, who died in 1956; a son; two daughters-in-law; an infant daughter; a brother, and sister-in-law.

<B>EMERICK </B>— Friends of Elinor Mary Emerick, who died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME</B>, 349 Adams St., Rochester. Visitation also will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. John Burry's Church, New Sewickley Township, where a service will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mike Van Arsdale will officiate. Burial will follow at the Burry's Church Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Burry's Memorial Fund, R.D. 1, Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074.
