David H. Thompson, 69, of Penn Township, formerly of Valencia, died Thursday evening at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born in Gibsonia, Feb. 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Harvey and Elizabeth Rein Thompson.

He was a driver for the Butler Auto Auction for 30 years, and he enjoyed doing small engine repairs at his home.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ed (Debbie) Thimons of Cranberry Township; a brother, John W. Thompson of Slippery Rock; four nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Dowling.
