Boy Scouts honor Diehl Auto, Kucel

Rich and Tina Grossman of Diehl Automotive Group show the Good Scout Award their business received as Company of the Year from the Moraine Trails Council Boy Scouts.

PENN TWP — The Diehl Automotive Group of Butler and Cranberry Township businessman Ken Kucel were honored Thursday with Good Scout Awards from the Moraine Trails Council Boy Scouts.

About 70 people attended the reception at Conley Resort.

Diehl received the Glacier Ridge District’s award for Company of the Year. Irv Gable, Glacier Ridge District director, said the company was given the award for being heavily involved in many community organizations in Butler County.

Kucel, who owns CompuGig, received the honoree award. Gable said Kucel was awarded for his work in scouting.

This is the fourth year for the awards. Each year, one individual and one business are given the awards based on community involvement.

Proceeds from the reception will fund local Boy Scout programs.
