Mars grad Bednar back with Pirates
PHILADELPHIA — Mars graduate David Bednar was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Sunday by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He pitched in the team’s 6-0 win at Philadelphia.
Bednar, sporting a 2.18 earned run average in 57.2 innings pitched this season, had been sidelined with a strained right oblique.
