Cranberry Township resident Katie Russell has been acting in films and has a new one, "House of Bedlam," coming out Saturday.

Katie Russell of Cranberry Township has a starring role in the horror film "House of Bedlam" premiering Saturday in Erie.

The story is set 200 years ago in the town of Bedlam, Pa., when a lynching took place. Then in 2007 a group of college students accidentally comes across the remains of Bedlam and discover that the spirits of those who died there still possess the house, and the entire town of Bedlam knows about it.

The film will premiere at 10 p.m. Saturday at Theater 145 in Erie. Tickets are $5 at the box office the day of the show. The movie will be available on DVD or to download on Oct. 14.

The film was written by Paul Gorman and Steed Merrill and directed by Paul Gorman of Gorman Media Design.

In addition to Russell, also starring are Jeremy Krukowski and Larry Laverty with Johnzo Ciprianni, Drew Gerbik, Preston Gorman, Victor Kuehn, Seneca Shongo, Marie Madison and introducing Samantha Hoepfl.
