Karns City rolls over Ridgway, 35-0

Karns City's ground game continued to roll Friday night.

The Gremlins churned out 244 yards on 39 carries in a 35-0 drubbing of Ridgway in high school football action in Johnsonburg.

Luke Garing had 106 yards and two scores on 16 carries and Jayce Anderson 72 yards and one touchdown on eight carries.

KC quarterbacks Eric Booher and Mason Martin both threw a touchdown pass. Nate Garing and Micah Rupp were on the receiving end.

The Gremlins (6-1, 7-1) limited the Elkers (5-3, 5-3) to just 159 yards of offense.

Seneca Valley 49, Baldwin 12 — Backup quarterback Sean O'Shea ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more as the Raiders were too much for the host Highlanders (2-3, 2-6).

O'Shea, a sophomore, filled in for the injured Graham Hancox. His two scoring passes went to wideout Brandon Ross.

Nolan Dworek added a pair of rushing scores and Luke Lawson also found paydirt for SV (4-1, 6-2), which has a date with unbeaten Mt. Lebanon next Friday.

Greensburg Salem 19, Mars 12 — Despite 139 yards rushing and a touchdown from sophomore Evan Wright, the Planets (1-4, 1-7) fell on the road.

Trailing by seven points, Mars had two late drives thwarted by the Golden Lions (3-2, 5-3).

Greensburg Salem scored first, but Rafael Bartley's 23-yard scoring pass to Noah Nesselroad tied the game at 6 late in the first quarter.

Cody Rubrecht was a thorn in Mars' side. He ran for a 6-yard touchdown, caught a 55-yard scoring pass and also blocked an extra point.

Ligonier Valley 43, Summit Academy 14 — The Knights (0-3, 0-8) remained winless with this Allegheny Conference loss on the road.
