6:27 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Heather Swiergol, 40, of Butler Township and Raylene Sieffert, 45, of Petrolia collided at East Jefferson and Monroe streets. Police said Swiergol was cited for a traffic light violation.1:01 a.m. Sunday — Michael Lee Steighner, 28, of Butler Township was arrested for driving under the influence on West Jefferson Street. Police said Steighner also was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana, an open container violation, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and not wearing a seat belt.Saturday — Melody Campbell reported that someone overnight broke into her unlocked car at her East Locust Street home and took the vehicle's Sony "Explode" compact disc player and about 15 CDs. The estimated value of the stolen property is $350.
1:30 p.m. Tuesday — Anthony G. Allison, 32, of Prospect was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 34-year-old woman during a domestic dispute on North Franklin Street in Prospect. Police said Allison was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.Feb. 19 — An undisclosed number of bags of salt were stolen from Brown Enterprises on Willow Run Drive in Center Township.5:40 p.m. Feb. 17 — An unknown thief stole prescription medication valued at $100 from the Lake Arthur Estates home of Donna Miller in Muddy Creek Township.
1:35 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Ronald Grates, 51, of Kittanning struck two deer on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township.Monday — Charles Watson told police that an unknown burglar between Nov. 1 and Monday stole jewelry from his Freeport Road home in South Buffalo Township.
8:55 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Abbey Walton, 18, of Slippery Rock crashed into an embankment and rolled over on snow-covered Route 173 in Liberty Township.
