Dean and Margaret "Peg" Schnell of Petrolia celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family gathering at the home of their daughter.

The former Margaret Daubenspeck married Schnell on Sept. 18, 1954 at the home of the Rev. Bash, former pastor of St. Peter's Reformed Church, in Fairview.

They have three children, Karen Fair of Butler, Mike Schnell of Prospect and Darla Lassinger of Saxonburg. They also have five grandchildren.

Schnell is retired from Witco Chemical.

Mrs. Schnell is a homemaker.

Both are members of Martinsburg Presbyterian Church in Bruin.
