Slippery Rock residents Megan Mackalica and Chance Rummel were united in marriage at noon June 28 at the Garden of Love Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nev.

The bride is the daughter of James Mackalica Sr. and Susan Hilliard, both of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Donald Rummel of Meridian and Kathie Byars of Rome, Ga.

The bride graduated from Moniteau High School, Slippery Rock University and Point Park College. She is an insurance agent employed by Alana Brahler in Butler.

The bridegroom graduated from Butler High School and Slippery Rock University. He is employed by Three Rivers Cold Storage in Evans City.

The couple honeymooned throughout the southwest and is making their home in Slippery Rock.
