Raymond E. Stahl, 85, of Cabot, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born Oct. 12, 1938, in Fairview, Pa., he was the son of Raymond L. Stahl and Bernice Irene Bartley Stahl.

Ray served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer second class. He worked as a brick layer in the melt shop at Armco, retiring in 1995 after 31 years.

He was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church, Armstrong Lodge 239 F&AM, Syria Shrine Caravan 14, Syria Temple, Elks Lodge 170 and American Legion Post 778. He enjoyed daily crossword puzzles and watching any kind of sports, especially March Madness. He also enjoyed going to breakfast with his retired friends.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn J. (Christie) Stahl, whom he married Sept. 14, 1963; his daughters, Sabrina (Dave) Renfrew of Saxonburg and Shawnda Nowakowski of Valencia; his granddaughters, Schaely and Kenley Renfrew; and his grandson, Hunter Nowakowski.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Evelyn Stahl; and one brother, Robert Stahl.

Ray's family would like to thank Dr. Trotta, Dr. Shamir, Dr. Stein, the Butler Dialysis Clinic, Concordia Visiting Nurses and Hospice, and friends and neighbors who offered their help and support.

STAHL — Friends of Raymond E. Stahl, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Carol Novy officiating.

Interment will be in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes Food Bank, c/o Summit Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler, PA 16002.
