Candice Orgal

Candice R. Orgal, 72, of Jefferson Township, passed away at home on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Dec. 19, 1951, in Harrison Township, to the late David N. and Margaret (Arner) Gould.

Candice lived most of her life in Tarentum and Cabot. She was a homemaker of the Methodist faith. Candice was a 1971 graduate of Highlands High School, where she was a cheerleader. Candice was an avid Steelers and Terry Bradshaw fan. She was also an animal lover, especially of her pets, Benny and Oscar.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Thomas H. Orgal; daughters, Lori A. (Lee) Spangler of Winfield Township and Nicole L. (Joseph) Wheeler of Slippery Rock; grandchildren, Alisha R. (Logan) Porter of Cranberry Township, Kamdon B. Mack of Winfield Township and Shiloh J. Wheeler of Slippery Rock. Also surviving is her brother, David (Debra) Gould of Tarentum.

In addition to her parents, Candice was preceded in death by a son, Stush Thomas Orgal, in 2016.

ORGAL — At her request, Candice will be cremated. However, a gathering of family and friends of Candice R. Orgal, who died Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at DUSTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum. Burial will be private.

The family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Candace’s son, Stush Thomas Orgal.
