Paul "Smokey" and Carol Lichanec of Fenelton will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

The former Carol Keasey married Lichanec on Sept. 10, 1955, at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

They have two daughters, Pam Kiser of Karns City and Paula Johnson of Fenelton.

They also have three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and a step-great-granddaughter.

Lichanec is retired from Armstrong Cement. He enjoys working in his yard.

Mrs. Lichanec is retired from Moonlight Mushrooms. She enjoys ceramics and shopping.

The couple belongs to St. John Roman Catholic Church.
