Ruth and James Blank

James and Ruth Blank of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage Feb. 15 with an open house at their son's home in Evans City.

Blank married the former Ruth Marburger on Feb. 14, 1959, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City.

They have five children, Michael Blank of Evans City, Candace Lefever of Butler, Christina Cromer of Evans City, Carin Rasp of Evans City and Matthew Blank of Prospect.

They also have three grandchildren.

Blank is retired from working as a maintenance technician at LTV Steel in Aliquippa.

His wife is retired from working for Westminster Preschool in Evans City.

The couple belongs to Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City.
